Are anti-wrinkle injections for me?
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin can cause the skin to loose elasticity resulting in lines and furrows in the forehead, vertical frown lines between your eyebrows and small wrinkles or “crow’s feet” around your eyes. Anti-wrinkle injectables are designed to reduce or eliminate the visual appearance of these lines. Dermal Fillers, also offered at Advanced Aesthetics may be more suitable.
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name the specific products used for cosmetic injections. The anti-wrinkle injectables we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that weaken muscles when injected into them. The nerve impulse that initiates muscle contraction is blocked, thereby weakening these muscles.
What results can I expect from anti-wrinkle injections?
Results will vary for each person. Typically, once facial expression muscles are weakened , the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines is greatly reduced.
When seeking any non-surgical treatment, we strongly suggest that you look for qualified and experienced Registered Nurses at a reputable clinic.
Are dermal fillers for me?
As we age, areas of our face lose volume, in particular the cheek areas resulting in a ‘flattening’ of the upper cheek area, and sagging of the skin. Dermal fillers can increase the volume in your face. They can also be used to enhance the lip and smooth out wrinkles, although other treatments such as Lip Enhancement and Anti-Wrinkle Injectables offered at Advanced Aesthetics may be more suitable. Your clinician can discuss the options with you during your initial consultation.
What are dermal fillers?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name the specific products used for cosmetic injections. The latest dermal fillers are typically composed of a non-animal origin acid that occurs naturally in the body and attracts water and creates plumpness. Dermal fillers are injected below the skin’s surface to fill-in wrinkles, plump-up areas such as the lips, and give fullness and volume to areas such as the cheeks.
What results can I expect from dermal fillers?
Results will vary for each client. Side effects, such as minor redness and swelling are typically resolved within 24 hours. Results may be visible immediately, and last around 4 to 12 months, depending on the filler, the technique and the area that is being injected.
Is a Hyperhidrosis treatment for me?
Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition where sweat glands cause excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis can affect any part of the body where sweat glands are found, however, the most common areas are the underarms, palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. Advanced Aesthetics offers an injectable treatment to address this condition.
What is the Hyperhidrosis treatment?
In keeping with government regulations we are unable to name specific products used for excessive sweating injections. The anti-wrinkle injections we use at Advanced Aesthetics are made up of a naturally occurring toxin that is injected into the specific area. This targets the sweat glands, temporarily slowing down their function, and preventing excessive sweating. A very fine needle is inserted into the area and the substance injected. Most patients don’t require pain medication, but your doctor may administer a topical anaesthetic or oral analgesic for the more sensitive areas such as the palms and feet.
What results can I expect from a Hyperhidrosis treatment?
Results will vary for each client, as will recovery times and responses. There is typically minimal to no discomfort after the treatment. You should expect to see the initial results two to three days after with the best effects about a week later.
Is lip enhancement for me?
As we age, a reduction in skin hyaluronans, collagen and elastin may cause the upper and lower lips to lose volume and fullness. Lip enhancement, also known as lip fillers, is designed to restore fullness.
What is lip enhancement?
A variety of soft tissue lip fillers, including fat, collagen, and others, can be used to add fullness to the lips. Your clinical nurse at Advanced Aesthetics will discuss the best option to achieve your desired result. The filler is injected with a very fine needle into the treatment area.
What results can I expect from lip enhancement?
Results and recovery will vary for each client. Lip enhancement will typically result in added lip volume. Final results can take some days to come into effect.
Is this treatment for me?
For those looking to refine the shape of their nose, injectable treatments may be an alternative to rhinoplasty surgery.
What is this treatment?
Injectables may be used to modify the shape of the nose by using injectable fillers to alter the shape, size and position of the nasal tip, hide bumps and straighten the nose.
The treatment uses a thick, dermal filler to alter and reshape the areas of your nose that you wish to address.
We also use dermal filler to aid those who have had a skin cancer removed from on the nose, a typical area for lesions, to camouflage and reshape the affected area. A typical treatment takes between 30 minutes and one hour.
Recovery will vary for each person. The area where you have been injected may be slightly red, or bruised, and you may experience slight swelling for a couple of days.
What results can I expect?
Results will vary for each client and will be discussed at the time of yoyr consultation.
